Small businesses need all the help they can get in today's economy to save money. When you own your own business, you often have travel expenses for client meetings, deliveries, and purchasing supplies. Finding lower gas prices in your area can help cut those costs.
During the recent gas shortage, I got a call from a friend recently asking me if I could find out where she could get gas... There wasn't any at stations near her home, and she needed to get to work...
In the process of trying to locate a gas station for my friend, I ran across a few great resources that could definitely come in handy, given the recent shortages and high prices.
Many in the Atlanta area are using Twitter to find gas, and to report on gas prices and availability. Results are live within 5 seconds. Click here for the live feed: Live Twitter Search Results for "Lowest Gas Prices"

Others are less obvious -- of course you have to handle emails, paperwork, and phone calls for business, and some businesses require researching online. But back to the first item I mentioned, disorganization... If you don't have an organized approach to emails, phone calls, and internet usage, they can be some of the worst time-wasters of all. |
