                My passion is good design. Balance and proportion and color in visual art. Rhythm in the written word. I may not be a painter, a sculptor, or an illustrator, but I am an artist.
<br /><br />
When I was 16, I was told I could never make a living as an artist. I, liking a challenge, set out to prove that person wrong.
<br /><br />
I started college when I had barely turned 17 and got my Associates degree in Visual Communications by the time I was 19 and most of my friends were graduating high school. I worked at a small print shop for a while, and then later began freelancing. As the design field turned digital, I returned for my Bachelors in Multimedia Design.
<br /><br />
Then my clients started asking "Do you know how to do this, or that?" Again, never one to back down from a challenge, I expanded my skills, so that I could say "Yes, I can do that!" If I didn't know it, I learned it. Or I found someone who could.
<br /><br />
So to that person who challenged my dreams when I was only 16... Here I am 17 years later, achieving my dream, and dreaming of the future.
<br /><br />
How can I make your visions reality? Ask me and find out! <br /><br />

Not only does it show prices here in Atlanta, but you can research gas prices, locations, and trends across the nation down to the past 4 hours.

        <title type="html">Behind the scenes of online advertising - Supporting online customers</title>
        <content type="xhtml" xml:base="http://www.grayceworks.com/">
            <div xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
                Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a large online advertising company, which provided valuable insights into the current online advertising and classifieds market...
<br />
I provided technical support, as well as helping to determine customers advertising needs. It was amazing to me what goes on behind the scenes at such large customer support call centers. The support reps had such varied knowledge levels, not only of support in general, but of the actual product the company was selling, that it was no wonder so many customers were frustrated!
<br /><br />
And that's not even mentioning the lack of follow-thru service and the "passing the buck" to other departments...
<br /><br />
Scenario 1:<br />
A customer would call in one day, a rep would tell them "this or that" is wrong with their account, and then they'd call back another day, because an issue still wasn't resolved, and be told "oh, that's not what was wrong at all, it's actually this...."
<br /><br />
Scenario 2:<br />
A customer calls in to place a new advertisement. They give the information about the item being sold. A rep places the ad in the default category. The customer calls back, unable to find their ad where they thought it should be, because rather than selling the customer the best product for their needs based on the information the customer gave them, or exploring different options with the customer, the rep just tossed it in the "default' category.
<br /><br />
That's the type of problem you encounter when you don't probe deeply enough and ask enough questions to find the root of the issue or concern. So many things can be easily resolved if you JUST ASK THE RIGHT QUESTIONS!
<br /><br />
It highlighted for me just how different the level of customer support is with larger companies, compared to the sincere, personalized, quality support I seek to provide. Ask the right questions, get the full picture of what it is the customer needs... How can you give a customer what they need, if you don't find out?!
