Grayce has also worked with other companies prior to, and in addition to, owning her own business. Each has provided experience and skills that help her to provide outstanding service to her clients now.
This past year, Grayce had the opportunity to work with a large online advertising company, which provided valuable insights into the current online advertising and classifieds market. She provided technical support, as well as helping to determine customers advertising needs, bringing in sales exceeding $1500 per week on average. It highlighted for her just how different the level of customer support is with larger companies, compared to the sincere, personalized, quality support she seeks to provide.
From 2000 to 2001, Grayce was the senior technician and store supervisor for a local computer shop in Phoenix, Arizona. Her computer expertise was invaluable not only in troubleshooting customer’s systems, but providing the education and support needed to help keep them running at their best. In addition to providing service to individual customers, she worked with several small businesses to develop and implement customized hardware and software solutions that fit their needs perfectly. She also managed the store’s weekly sales and advertising, and in doing so, she increased the store’s weekly sales from an average of $900 per week to more than $1900 per week.
Between 1994 and the present, Grayce also did short-term contracts through other companies. Services provided included database and spreadsheet creation, business writing and correspondence, creating marketing materials and sales presentations, assisting with conference planning and setup, researching and preparing project proposals, and devising and implementing new procedures to increase workflow and efficiency.
Prior to 1996, Grayce worked in sales with a nationwide retail chain as a department supervisor, where she was responsible for merchandising, training and supervising sales associates, and sales records and reporting. She also worked with a small independent sales office which marketed products directly to consumers, where she made sales presentations and recruited and trained new representatives.
Grayce holds an Associate of Arts in Visual Communication, achieved in 1994, and a Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia Design, from 1999. Previous areas of study include marketing strategies, internet advertising, the Microsoft family of products, including Windows 2003 Server, as well as a nationally recognized sales training program.
She is currently working on several certifications in the Information Technology field, as well as continuing to update her skills in computers, software, the latest trends in marketing and graphic design, through various workshops and classes.
Additionally, Grayce has a strong sense of community involvement. Since 2007, Grayce has helped support Project Open Hand, in Atlanta, GA, with their efforts in serving meals to the elderly and housebound. She also provides tutoring at no charge to middle- & high-school age children in her local neighborhood. In Arizona, Grayce volunteered with West Yavapai Guidance assisting a support group for young families, by providing advice, activities, and resources for success.
